There are several state parks located close to both Springdale and Van Buren. City of Eureka Springs: An authentic 19th century Victorian resort, tucked in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and encircled by two beautiful lakes and two scenic rivers, it is a magical place filled with old-world charm and European flavor.

Shiloh Museum: The Museum offers exhibits, programs and events that relate to the history and culture of Northwest Arkansas and the Ozarks. Peel House Museum & Historic Gardens: The Peel Mansion site is not only an indoor museum but also an outdoor museum of historic roses, perennials and native plants. Careful research over many months has resulted in an extensive inventory of 19th-century plantings. Descendants of early settlers were interviewed for their childhood memories of early gardens. The 1845 Jacob Smith Nursery list from Fayetteville served as a documentary source. Various vignette gardens are interlaced among curvilinear walks and large shade trees, creating a most appropriate setting for this great historic building of Northwest Arkansas.

Events

Bikes, Blues & BBQ: The fastest growing motorcycle festival in the world. Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in just three years has grown to over 200,000 attendees.

War Eagle Craft Fair: The War Eagle Craft Fair was a project of, by and for little people—a group of little old ladies exhibiting their weaving. When that attracted a greater-than-expected response, other unsung artists and craftsmen were invited to participate. There is no government subsidy, sponsorship or assistance of any kind, just unpaid volunteers led by an Arkansas farmer and his wife. It has all happened in a magical place.
