Arkansas & Missouri Railroad and its sister company, Ozark Transmodal, Inc. (OTI), provide Rail-to-Truck and Truck-to-Rail services to customers moving inbound and outbound bulk freight.
OTI has three locations, Butterfield, Missouri, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Springdale, Arkansas. The Ft. Smith location is fenced for additional security of your goods. A&M also provides service to eleven other transloading facilities located along its railroad system that provide a wide variety of services including frozen food storage, climate controlled warehousing of steel, lumber and many other bulk commodities
The A&M/OTI partnership offers the ability to ship or receive multiple commodities with ease, as our knowledgeable staff assists with car orders, rates and routing, loading and unloading, bills of lading, as well as any documentation required for inventory tracking while your product is in our facility's care.
OTI Butterfield Sand Station
OTI transloads concrete and mason sand from railcars to a storage area, where it is then loaded into trucks for pickup or delivery. The newly built Butterfield Sand Station features increased capacity of approximately 8-10,000 tons, an automated weighing system, and state of the art conveyor and dual track unloading pit. Although primarily used for sand, Butterfield also offers outdoor storage and transloading capabilities for other commodities, such as lumber and scrap iron.
The sand facility is a convenient and efficient supply alternative for asphalt, concrete and ready mix companies located in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas, including Branson, Cassville, Ozark, Purdy, Shell Knob, and Springfield, MO and Berryville, Eureka Springs, and Harrison, AR.
For customers in need of sand hauling services, OTI has initiated partnerships with local trucking operations for sand hauling service for direct, local deliveries to our customer's concrete or asphalt plants.

OTI Springdale
OTI Springdale is conveniently located in the heart of Northwest Arkansas. The Springdale location features 36,000+ sq. ft. of indoor storage, as well as outdoor storage. This facility currently handles a wide array of commodities, which include: food-grade, lumber and construction materials and different types of steel coils. In addition to the aforementioned commodities, we have the ability to handle a variety of other materials—the bottom line is that if you have material that needs shipped by rail in Northwest Arkansas, we're here to help!

OTI Ft. Smith
OTI's Ft. Smith facility recently added 60,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, for a current total of 100,000 sq. ft., as well as 10 acres of available outdoor storage space. With covered docks, OTI is ready to handle moisture sensitive materials, such as paper, plywood, plastics and steel products. Conveniently located next door to the A&M's rail yard, there is also space available for direct rail-to-truck transloading. If you have freight to move in the Ft. Smith region, we want your business!

OTI Fort Smith Plastics Logistics
OTI's current capabilities include packaging of bulk plastics from rail and/or truck, as well as blending. Arkansas and Missouri Railroad, G&D Trucking/Hoffman Transportation and Ozark Transmodal have developed the Fort Smith Plastic Logistics Center to handle plastics distribution requirements efficiently and economically for customers in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
